Cake Basics 1

October 23, 1-5pm (4 hour session)

New to cake?  This class will focus on construction of cakes, proper filling/icing techniques and the basics of decoration also to include fondant covering.  The basics are KEY in decorating, so this class is a must for new-comers.  *In addition, you'll learn: swags, piped borders, rosebuds, and more.  Each student will create their own showpiece, supply list will be provided upon registration.

Cake Basics 2

October 28 6-9pm (3 hour session)

Now that you've got the skills to ice, fill, and cover the cake it's time to decorate!  This class will cover: design, cutouts, textures, basic flowers, basic leaves, basic ribbons, continued piping techniques (ivy, script writing, filigree, cornelli lace) and more.

Gumpaste Flowers 1

November 2, 2010 6-9pm (3 hour session)

This session will focus on: finger flowers, filler flowers, stephanotis, carnations, and more.

This session will focus on: hydrengeas, tulips, daisies, perfecting the rose, leaves, wiring techniques, shading, and more.

Nov 18, 2010 6-9pm (3 hour session)

The exotic orchid will be our flower of study during this session.  Learn to create the moth orchid, Phaleanopsis, and Cymbidium during this intensive session.  Previous gumpaste experience is a MUST for this class.

Airbrushing 101

Figure sculpting can really create an impression and lend to your cake design.  Learn how to create life-like figures during this intensive 4 hour session.  This class is for seasoned artists only....previous experience is highly recommended as these techniques are very advanced.
